Not sure where to start?

Take the gift assessment below and see where your talent lies. Then check out some of the service opportunities we have at Gateway.

Life is a series of next steps. We hope you will take that step toward serving others.

  BEING HIS HANDS AND FEET

God calls us, His people, to GO and make disciples, to be His witnesses, to share His love to a world that so desperately needs it. Here at Gateway, we are committed to doing just that – not only right here in our community, but around the world. A key focus of Jesus’ prayer in John 17 was that through His people the world would come to know Him and the Love of the Father (John 17:23). And so, we accept that calling to GO, and as we go, make disciples, teach, and baptize in the name of Jesus for the glory of God. In order to love God and love people, we need to follow the example Jesus set and serve His church and others. We are all given gifts and talents that can be used to serve others and connect with them on a personal level. This connection strengthens our witness and our relationships. We are never more like Christ when we sacrifice ourselves for others. It may be serving in the church or community, giving our time to volunteer for an event, and/or giving our money and resources to help those in need.

LOCAL OUTREACH

backpack project 52

Many of our community kidz have limited or no access to food outside of school provision. Even with income, families are having to choose between bills and groceries. GCC Backpack Project partners with Mapleton Elementary to meet this most basic need every weekend of the year, eliminating the painful emotion of having to choose between food and bills. We couldn't do this without your help! Whether they be donations of food, monetary gifts, or your prayers, help us end hunger in our community.

Food donations are welcome during church operating hours. The donation bin is located just inside of the office entrance.

Contact Patti Darnell to get involved, or click the link for a list of needed food items.
